I should blog about my birthday on Saturday but I could not upload the pictures here so I’m going to blog about the camp instead.
In short, I don’t enjoy this camp! The toilets are so filthy and the dormitory is filled with sands everywhere. I don’t know why it’s called a dorm as we sleep inside the sleeping bag on the wooden planks. -.- My group is okay…no comments on that…
No phones are allowed there. Even if you have your phone, you will get the Indonesia network. The camp site is just beside the airport, so imagine how we survive. It’s so loud when the planes are landing and taking off, especially at night. There are a total of nine planes on the first night and I think two on the second night. Whenever a plane flew past, I woke up once. =(
First day: The first station was the abseil, and I was so afraid to walk down the walls. Later was rock-climbing. I couldn’t even pass the red line. Urgh I’m so lousy. Our dinner was alright(meaning that it was edible). Then I forgot what we did and we had dried-fruit muffins for supper.
Second day: We woke up slightly earlier than 6am and prepared. After that, everyone gathered at Dorm A but we got a scolding as we were supposed to gather at the flagpole instead. Our exercise/punishment was torturous. The one I remembered was the Buddha Claps. I think we did about 100. There were about 4 groups which have to do more as they were shouted softer than us. They should not deserve that kind of treatment. One of the instructors even scolded Joshua Kiew until he cried. =/ Scary…after that, Sirachut was telling me that the punishment in Thailand was worse as they made the students lie on the sand or something like that. O.o
After breakfast, we did flying fox! OMG I love it! At first, I was terrified but when the trainer pushed me down, I wanted to scream but it was so fun that I laughed instead. -.- LOLS. But the trainer was sarcastic. Then we headed to the high elements. There was one of it which you have to climb up and jump towards a swing, like those act in a circus. The moment I climbed up, I wanted to come down so I jumped down instead of jumping towards the swing. Uh whatever. We had lunch after that.
Then, we made an improvised raft. The shape was weird? But we did it so it’s the effort that counts. Then we had Kayaking!!! I partnered with Jin Wei and we both don’t know how to kayak. -.- Because we didn’t listen to the trainer fully. XD We had difficutly at first as the kayak didn’t want to go to the direction we want, but we managed with the help of the trainer. Then, the first row people had to stand up and hold each other’s hands. Idk why I fell into the water and pulled Jessie down too. =/ But Jessie did split in mid-air. LOLS. I had trouble coming up and wanted to swim to the shore initially but the trainer refused. =( Then, the instructor pushed me up to the Kayak. Heh.
After that, we bathed and discussed about the campfire activity. We modified a bit on the cheer and had our dinner. Lster on, we had camp fire which is another one which I enjoyed. I fell asleep immediately when we returned to the dorms except when the planes flew past that I woke up.
Third day: We did cleaning and headed back to school at 11.30am! We retrieved our phones back and I took a cab home. However, I forgot that I did not bring my keys so I waited outside the house. My dad came back and bought lunch for me too. Then I bathed and used the computer and sleep!
I’m done blogging about camp! It took me about one hour to blog and I am also having cramps. My whole body is aching too.
Done!
Aeya aeya ah aeya aeya.
